Winners’ Secret Path to Success
By Jacklyn | October 24, 2007
Read this post from Dominic’s blog and would like to share with you..
No, there isn’t a book of law that itemizes all the secrets to success. But do you believe that success is a personal path? I do. Easier said than done, you might say. Unless you want to achieve the outcome that you desire, you won’t spend time considering the secret path to success, would you?
But when you take action towards the path of success, don’t you think that everything you planned for would turn out right? Yes, success is only possible when you work on your personal development agenda and sustain it.
If you read about books, stories and reports of successful men and women in various fields, you’ll notice that they possess the common winner qualities.
It’s true that no two individuals are alike. But when you take a careful look of these winners’ lives, you’ll be surprised how these people adopted the winning attitude and remained on the path of success. And unless you’re working on the real scores to your personal success, you will focus less on your personal development and cultivate your winning attitude.
On the contrary, there are hundreds and thousands of people who are in search of the real path to personal development and success. But is there really a secret path to success? Grab a pen and a paper and map your own path to success using the following:
1. Prepare your thoughts for the major blast
It may take a painful twist on your end to adapt changes. Of course, as you go along the path of personal development and success, you’ll come across with so many challenges.
It’s unlikely that you’ll be comfortable in most ways because the path of success is full of twists, pains and disturbances. Why? Because you are adapting to these changes and you’re preparing yourself to much complicated scenarios. But remember: success cannot be measured unless you learned something. What you need to do is initiate a positive mind set, dare yourself and carry on your path to personal development and success.
2. Adopt a winner’s attitude always
Boost your self-esteem by looking at the brighter side of life. It’s true that social issues or unfortunate life experiences may dishearten you to carry on working your goals to success. But will you allow these mishaps to sidetrack your focus? Very unlikely.
Winners like you don’t always have to agree with all sorts of propaganda just to please other people. Remember, a winner is well-versed with his or her own convictions and walks on the positive sideways that lead to the path of success. Are you this type of winner? Carry on!
3. Avoid the short cuts
Patience is a virtue. Successful people buy time in favor of success. Yes, you can’t be successful overnight unless you cheat on yourself. Understand that the more you rush into things, the more chances of you crippling your success to nothing. Could you imagine how painful it is to fail and fall from your pedestal when you forced yourself to succeed prematurely? Why not start learning gradually the ways of personal development?
The path to success has no shortcuts. But you can be sure that it’s always the proper way to walk on. Yes, there’s no single book that could itemize the real paths to success but there’s a map that can guide you all throughout.
As for you, why not start creating your own map to success today? Who knows, you may be leading a generation of leaders and winners with the use of your map to personal development and success.

Jacklyn,
Thanks for your link to my blog in this post. The direct url to the post is this: http://dominictay.com/blog/personal-development/winners-series-the-winners%e2%80%99-secret-path-to-success/
But as I look back at my points, I’ve found some major points missing. So since you’ve featured my post on your blog, I’ll just add in the points over here to benefit your readers. :)
About my 2nd point, “Adopt a winner’s attitude always”, here’s what I want to add.
Winner’s attitude is not just about having the positive mindset to push on in life. Rather, it’s more about the fighting spirit that we ought to possess. And to summarize what I meant, let me quote Vince Lombardi. He said that, “Winning is not everything. But wanting to win is.” Does it make sense?
A winner’s attitude is all about wanting to win and excel in everything they do.
And for my 3rd point, “Avoid the short cuts”, I’ve talked about learning the ways to start in personal development. As I look again at what I’ve written, I found it to be confusing and vague.
So I would like to recommend another post that I’ve written on “starting in personal development” that I sincerely believe, would benefit your readers.
Here’s the link for anyone who’s interested:

Again, thanks for featuring my blog post here and I hope that your readers have found this post to be informative.

Hi Jacklyn,
I fully agree with you that we should avoid shortcuts.
A firm foundation is built on growth, not rushing. Growth, whether plant growth, muscle growth, or mind growth, is governed by the natural laws. It can’t be forced beyond previous preparation. Each day’s growth prepares for the next day’s growth. We can never break nature’s laws. Too often we break ourselves trying.
Personally, I find keeping a blog with positive thoughts can be helpful for one to walk toward this path of success.
Blessings to you, Jacklyn!

Hi Sam,
Your words reminds me of Stephen Covey’s natural law of the farm in his Principle-Centered Leadership & The 8th Habit.
My new adventure in blogging has given me much opportunity to be in the positive and growing environment, which I think environment plays an important role in a person’s growth towards success.
Thanks for all the support you have been given me all this while, Sam!
Cheers for greater tomorrow and after..
