A Tribute To All Mothers

By Jacklyn | May 13, 2007

Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers and to all other women who play ‘mother’ to their love ones! For me, I want to dedicate this article specially to my dearest mom, for her greatness in loving me selflessly..

Switzerland Holiday!Though I did not grow up with my mom till my Junior College days, we kept our relationship well. Actually by the time when I was a teen, we were having a somewhat more of friends than a mother-daughter relationship. And that was the only time where my family (including my 2 elder brothers) stayed together after 14 years of separation.

But shortly after my 20th birthday, I was diagnosed to suffer from lupus (SLE). It was a great tragedy not only for me, but the whole family as everyone had to keep running to the hospital because of my frequent hospitalizations.

Tensions, fears and financial stress eventually affected everyone in the family and I never seem to get better at all. Instead, I ended up suffering from kidney failure and had to rely on dialysis for survival. I did not see hope in life at all as at that point of time, my medical condition did not permit me to have a kidney transplant. And yet we still had to keep battling on..

It was another 9 long years of dialysis before the good news came that my mom had finally passed the donor’s test, and we went ahead with a recorded successful kidney transplant in Singapore General Hospital! Her love and courage to go through that risky operation to save me can never be measured! As the saying goes – “Mother’s love is the greatest love of all”! Can you feel the bond between us as I share one her kidney inside my body?

Mummy, I love you!!!

Since then, my new life started Here, I’d like to share 2 of my local media interviews with you, and hope you can rejoice with me…

Today, mom is one of the happiest and proudest mothers on earth! All her children are successful in the society and we are appreciating her with plenty of love which she rightfully deserves! Though we just choose a coffee shop for a simple Mother Day Dinner, it was the best meal she enjoyed.

Mummy, we love you forever & ever…

I must’ve heard/read the story of you and your mum tens of times …

Yet, it amazes me everytime. I’ve only known you for a year now … but you are always such a winner in my presence, that I can’t imagine you were ever plagued with the kind of troubles I read about.

And you share that prize with your beautiful mum … she’s given you so much. I hope every new mothers day … every new day … makes your bond stronger & stronger.

zee – Thanks and welcome here! Hope to see you here often.

Hey Jenny, you can relate to those experience yeh? I guess that is also one of the reason now that you will make sure you are healthy and successful today, right?

Hi Jenny Tan, mummy sends her thanks to you. Send my love to your mom too.

Ha.. AiHui, Singapore is small right? Lucky he’s not your downline yet, as we reunited again only 2 yrs back. he.he..

Hey Alice, thanks for being here! I’m so blessed to have known you and the rest of the coaches in the coaching team. Everyone inspires me in one way or another!

Hi Wei Ping, thanks for the ‘Muaak’! It feels good.

Hello Phoebe, I must be an inspirator to make all what I’ve gone through worthwhile right?

Hey Felicia, thanks for being here! Life has been awesome for me though I was so busy with my company’s new product launch. Well, it’s time we and all our fellow coaches should catch up again.
You are right Felicia! My strength comes from all the people that loves me, especially from my late granny and mummy…

Hey Rachit, you always give me strength and guidance during our coach trainings and coaching days. Million thanks to that.
Indeed, mom has given me so much. Our bond are stronger and stronger… (oh wait, is it because of her that I’m still single???)

Amen Calvin, thank God for all our mums!

In conclusion, I really want to thank all you guys here. Your willingness to leave all these beautiful comments and blessings here shows how much you support, care and love me…
