That’s What Friends Are For ~ Dionne Warwick & …

By Jacklyn | November 27, 2009

4:24 mins

And I never thought I’d feel this way
And as far as I’m concerned
I’m glad I got the chance to say
That I do believe I love you

And if I should ever go away
Well, then close your eyes and try to feel
The way we do today
And then if you can remember

Keep smiling, keep shining’
Knowing you can always count on me, for sure
That’s what friends are for
For good times and bad times
I’ll be on your side forever more
That’s what friends are for

Well, you came and opened me
And now there’s so much more I see
And so by the way I thank you

Whoa, and then for the times when we’re apart
Well, then close your eyes and know
These words are comin’ from my heart
And then if you can remember, oh

Keep smiling, keep shining
Knowing you can always count on me, for sure
That’s what friends are for
In good times, in bad times
I’ll be on your side forever more
Oh, that’s what friends are for

Whoa… oh… oh… keep smiling, keep shining’
Knowing you can always count on me, for sure
That’s what friends are for
For good times and bad times
I’ll be on your side forever more
That’s what friends are for

Keep smiling, keep shining’
Knowing you can always count on me, oh, for sure
‘Cause I tell you that’s what friends are for
For good times and for bad times
I’ll be on your side forever more
That’s what friends are for (That’s what friends are for)

On me, for sure
That’s what friends are for
Keep smiling, keep shining ….

Stress Management – Positive Thinking

By Jacklyn | September 22, 2009

Positive thinking helps with stress management and can even improve your health. Overcome negative self-talk by recognizing it and practicing with some examples provided.

Article MayoClinic.com

Is your glass half-empty or half-full? How you answer this age-old question about positive thinking may reflect your outlook on life, your attitude toward yourself, and whether you’re optimistic or pessimistic.

In fact, some studies show that these personality traits — optimism and pessimism — can affect many areas of your health and well-being. Positive thinking also is a key part of effective stress management. Positive thinking doesn’t mean that you keep your head in the sand and ignore life’s less pleasant situations. It just means that you approach the unpleasantness in a more positive and productive way.

With all this in mind, take a refresher course in positive thinking. Learn how to put positive thinking into action in your own life, and reap the benefits.

Singapore National Pledge

By Jacklyn | August 9, 2009

It carries a special meaning to me when I stood up at 2022 hr, right in front of my home TV, to join our nation in pledging our Singapore Pledge  just now. A strong sense of gratitude overwhelmed me.. And I’m proud to be a Singaporean.

Having the priviledge to have visited more than 10 countries, I can never thank enough to be borned and grow up in this wonderful land.. a place where my family unites, a place I feel belonged, a place I feel protected and secure, a place I call Home..

I have a dream of experiencing different country’s culture and environment.. but Singpaore is forever my root, my culture, my memories and my gratitude..

Singapore’s Pledge

We, the citizens of Singapore
Pledge ourselves as one united people
Regardless of race, language or religion
To build a democratic society
Based on justice and equality
So as to achieve happiness, prosperity & progress for our nation

Cheers, Singapore!!!
