Inner Beauty – Forgiveness
By Jacklyn | February 10, 2009
It was a beautiful Sunday and my heart was singing with joy as I know I will be meeting many of my fellow POE coaches and past participants of POE in the afternoon. The feeling was awesome the moment I stepped into the main training room of AKLTG. A feeling that I’m so familiar with.. what stood in front of me is a mental picture that I see so often in my mind whenever I feel I need that extra boost of motivation and inspiration.
‘Gearing Up for 2009 with Patterns of Excellence’ event has given many POE graduates gained new insights to how we can combat any challenges in 2009. It seems that many are already believing that year 2009 is going to be a challenging year?? Being a believer in Law of Attraction, of course I think otherwise. I am ready to align my goals to achieve what I desire this year. In fact, I have already signed up with the founder of NLP, Richard Bandler, his Charisma Enhancement and Trainer Training this coming March 2009 in Florida, Orlando!
I want to highlight a story which Stuart Tan shared with us during the event. It has inspired me so much that till now, it is still so vivid in my mind. It’s a story of a beautiful woman Jacqueline Saburido. A woman that deserve all our salute to her bravery to battle her life ahead, and her enormous generosity to forgive. To me, this is really what I call “Inner Beauty”. It’s a 7 mins video showing Jacqueline appearing in Oprah Winfrey’s live show. Please share your thoughts and feelings with us after the video..

New Year Inspiraiton – What is Your Price?
By Jacklyn | January 28, 2009
I want to share a story of a presenter who has made many people realize an amazing fact during his seminar…
He started his presentation by holding up a $100 bill in the room of 200 people. Then he asked “Who would like to have this $100 bill?”
Almost everyone puts up their hands.
He then, crumpled the bill and asked the same question “Who wants it now?”
He thought that the people might not raise their hands, but.. many hands were up again!
He then tore the bill into 2 pieces and ask the audience again “who still want it now?”
Once again, almost everyone wanted that. Then, he explained to the audience…
“My friends, you have all learned a very valuable lesson. No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth $100.”
“Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way. We feel as though we are worthless but it is not correct! we can always make differences to feel!”
How true. Quite often, people feel defeated, incapable and lousy when things don’t turn out well for them. That will only make the situation worst. We must keep reminding ourselves of our self worth, just like that $100 bill. No matter how crumpled or bad-shape we can be at this moment, we are still worthy. In fact, I think our value increases even more as we have gain valuable experiences through the actions we took.
When we choose to think and feel this way, we put ourselves in a more resourceful state to handle whatever situation and move on. Remember, we have the power to choose. You can choose to be positive or negative, you can choose to feel big or small and you can choose to be happy or sad. I choose to live a life full of positivity, excitement and happiness… what about you?
Please share your thoughts with us and leave some encouraging.. inspiring.. empowering.. words for our readers…
Have an awesome year 2009 ahead!

Importance Of Personal Development
By Jacklyn | January 23, 2009
The importance of personal development is taking on a new meaning in our lives. Today we live in much more challenging and stressful environment than any of our predecessors. We required not only a healthy spirit, also wisdom from our mind and a healthy fit body to pursue all the things and lifestyle we desire in our life.
Personal development teaches us to love ourselves, no matter what we look like. They teach us that beauty is not about being perfect. It is about knowing who you are and what you want out of life. And the best way to learn is through personal development programs (online of offline), books, articles, audio or video programs.
One of the main elements that personal development teaches you is to have a positive attitude. Positive attitude helps you to believe that you can succeed. And that is the most powerful success strategy.
Personal development teaches you that your attitude is more important than your aptitude in regards to your total success in life. Is this really true? Lets look at the life of some of the greatest people of the last century. Thomas Edison had 9,999 failures before he got the light bulb right. And the only reason he kept doing is because his attitude was positive. People thought Bill Gates was just plain crazy, and yet Microsoft is one of the strongest companies of our time.
Personal development helps us to see a glass that is half full, instead of half empty. It is normal for us to have negative thoughts, and many of us have grown up with it, but believe it or not, it is possible to change those negative thoughts into positive ones.
Focus on what you want in your life no matter what others say about you. Keep your spirit positive by surrounding yourself with empowering environment and positive vibrations like music, ambiance, surroundings. Read personal development books or listen to audio cds. Make sure you are mixing around with friends who are supportive and have positive outlooks on life.
Don’t get upset if you did not get your desired outcome. Remember there is no failure but only feedbacks for you to improve on. Just pick yourself up, learn the lesson and keep going.
Find creative ways to get things done. If you are not experienced enough with something, share the project with someone who is a little more experienced in the field. Tackle challenges that were bothering you from a new frame of mind.
“Do not ask for lesser challenges, ask for more wisdom.” ~ Jim Rohn
“A formal education will make you a living, but self education will make you a fortune” ~ Jim Rohn
Every successful guru will teach us the importance of personal development and the more I started learning, the more my confidence and self esteem grows, and the quirkier I’m seeing results from my actions. You want that to happen to your life, don’t you?
Start personal development now! Its just a choice and commit to that decision. Cheers and have a blessed Happy Lunar New Year!

How To Stay Young
By Jacklyn | January 15, 2009
Another quote by George Carlin on “How to Stay Young”. We all want that, don’t we?
1. Throw out nonessential numbers. This includes age, weight and height. Let the doctor worry about them. That is why you pay him/her.
2. Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down.
3. Keep learning. Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever. Never let the brain idle. ” An idle mind is the devil’s workshop.” And the devil’s name is Alzheimer’s.
4. Enjoy the simple things.
5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath.
6. The tears happen. Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person who is with us our entire life, is ourselves. Be ALIVE while you are alive.
7. Surround yourself with what you love, whether it’s family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever your home is your refuge.
8. Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.
9. Don’t take guilt trips. Take a trip to the mall, to the next county, to a foreign country, but NOT to where the guilt is.
10. Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity.
And again… ALWAYS REMEMBER:
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

George Carlin Thoughts on Life
By Jacklyn | January 14, 2009
George Carlin is this year’s recipient for the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor which was held in November 2008. Carlin was named this year’s Mark Twain Prize honoree in June 2008, one week before he died at age 71 due to heart failure on June 22, 2008.
During the 80s, 90s and 2000s, George Carlin had recorded numerous albums, countless stand up appearances and acted in several movies and wrote a few books. He wrote something very eloquent which I think it should serve as a wake up call for many of us…
A wonderful Message by George Carlin:
The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider freeways, but narrower viewpoints. We spend more, but have less, we buy more, but enjoy less.
We have bigger houses and smaller families, more conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more experts, yet more problems, more medicine, but less wellness.
We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom. We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often.
We’ve learned how to make a living, but not a life. We’ve added years to life not life to years. We’ve been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor.
We conquered outer space but not inner space. We’ve done larger things, but not better things. We’ve cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul. We’ve conquered the atom, but not our prejudice. We write more, but learn less. We plan more, but accomplish less. We’ve learned to rush, but not to wait. We build more computers to hold more information, to produce more copies than ever, but we communicate less and less.
These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion, big men and small character, steep profits and shallow relationships. These are the days of two incomes but more divorce, fancier houses, but broken homes. These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway morality, one night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill. It is a time when there is much in the showroom window and nothing in the stockroom. A time when technology can bring this letter to you, and a time when you can choose either to share this insight, or to just hit delete.
Remember, spend some time with your loved ones, because they are not going to be around forever. Remember, say a kind word to someone who looks up to you in awe, because that little person soon will grow up and leave your side. Remember, to give a warm hug to the one next to you, because that is the only treasure you can give with your heart and it doesn’t cost a cent.
Remember, to say, “I love you” to your partner and your loved ones, but most of all mean it. A kiss and an embrace will mend hurt when it comes from deep inside of you. Remember to hold hands and cherish the moment for someday that person will not be there again.
Give time to love, give time to speak, and give time to share the precious thoughts in your mind.
AND ALWAYS REMEMBER:
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.
