Simple Steps To Attraction With Gratitude

By Stuart | April 7, 2007

I guess I ought to follow up on Jacklyn’s post on gratitude. After all, I teach the Gratitude process to many people in the Patterns of Excellence program.

It’s a simple and easy way to approach this. First, understand that gratitude is an emotional state that you feel. Second, if you know what to think, you can control what you feel. Third, if you don’t have a goal for your good feelings, just feel good for no good reason!

I talk a lot about neurolinguistic programming in my line of work and the modeling process. This has taken the cake so far:

Step 1 : Break your focus and pay attention to the now.

Step 2: Think of what you want to have in your life.

Step 3: Feel thankful and grateful for this “having” in your life. You may not have it yet, but feel thankful you can even think about it.

Simple, straightforward, takes no more than 3-5 seconds of your time. If you are planning to achieve success, you might want this to be a regular practice in your life.

Gratitude – Be Thankful

By Jacklyn | April 3, 2007

EzineArticles.com Basic Author

Being thankful calms our spirit, emotions, mind and body, increases our energy, restores our health and expands our understanding, knowledge and creativity. It makes us positive, confident, pleasant, friendly, cheerful, carefree, light-hearted, good-hearted and good-natured. Being thankful takes away sorrow, regret, anguish, heartache, stress, worry, depression and fear. Of course we face challenges and setbacks in life, but when we are thankful for whatever adversity we were facing, we will come out of it being a stronger person by learning from it!

Living in gratitude attracts every valuable thing this earth has to offer, and everything our heart earnestly desire, and they will all be ours when we receive all things with thankfulness. (Law of Attraction again!)
By the natural POWER of gratitude, I experienced personal body-rejuvenating miracle after miracle. My body heals itself, leaving clueless idea to the doctors what’s going on inside the body. And now, I experience exhilarating new-found energy too.
How is it that a continual attitude of gratitude makes us healthier and even younger? Because when we are thankful in our thoughts of mind, we are thankful in our feelings of our hearts. Then our hearts are free from negative emotions like stress, tension, anger, upset, etc… Our spirit will soar with healing emotions that cure the body from sickness, pain and aging (wear & tear).
Imagine what our life would be like if we never have to experience irritation, upset, anger, worry, anxiousness or fear again. And then, in addition, imagine enjoying a ten-fold and more increase of it.
By receiving all things with gratitude, we’ll attract all the “good” things of this earth, and you’ll realize your perspective towards life will never be the same again!

Yashi’s Birthday

By Jacklyn | April 1, 2007

yashi.PNG1st April! April Fool Day? To me, it has another meaning. Its my baby Yashis birthday! And you know something… he loves cake! Yashi is 9 yrs old now, which most of my friends will call him Ah Pek as they deemed him as 63 (9×7) yrs old. Well, whichever his age, he is always the best companion I can have. His birthday present? One whole hour of play in the garden and of course, his birthday cake!
Do you own a pet? Youll understand how much joy and love they can give to us. In fact, a survey done in USA has shown that people that owns pets lives healthier and longer as their percentage of having cardio-vascular related diseases is much lower. Cool ya? Pets also contribute to our well being!
Few years back, I saw a very big poster of a Golden Retriever at Mt Pleasant Animal Hospital with big words that states: “To you, he is your pet, To him, you are his Everything!” Isnt that true? Dogs are one of the most royal (and focused) species around in the world.
At that point of time, it really sets me thinking about my life. We want so much things in life – money, house, car, status, fame, power, and so often we lost focus on the most important area that support us like our health, our family, our love ones, our deep down Values in our heart, and even our spiritual needs.
Since then, I started to prioritize my time and energy to what is dearest to me while achieving the final outcome I want in my life. Im always guided by this quote: Success is a journey, not a destination. Isnt it great to feel being successful everyday?! You bet! Its a choice we can take to feel good and dynamic thus yielding great results. Experience it yourself and share it with us here. My trick? To me, every little contribution I made and every little improvement I have today compared to yesterday is a daily success
Thats it for today. If youve been fooled today, Happy April Fool Day!

Out of My Comfort Zone!

By Jacklyn | March 28, 2007

Hi! It has been a great week for me since after my last post on Law of Attraction. My off-line network marketing business (E.Excel International) has been performing much better than I thought! And my blog is taking-off well too. Thanks to all the love and support from all my new, old and all those very very old dearest friends out there…

Yes of course I applied all those wonderful techniques I’ve picked up from ‘The Secret’ and recently Stuart’s post on PNI to achieve this week’s results. I have to admit that at times, I still fall into the trap of allowing some limiting belief to stop me from achieving much more than I could. But today, results have proven me that I can stretch so much more if I keep focusing on the outcome I want in my life and start enjoying the journey along the way! ya, no more excuses for ‘pain’, ‘not feeling well’ and ‘having to sleep at least 10 hrs a day’…

Oh ya, I did spend some time going for POE coaches training too. I’m so mesmerized by the power of NLP and I’ll strongly encourage you to tap into the resources of this powerful science. did I call it a science?? I will post more resources on this topic as I learn along the way…

Well, please join me in my journey to life successes and I want to contribute to your success too! Till then, take care…

About Psycho-Neuroimmunology (PNI)

By Stuart | March 25, 2007

It’s Stuart. I did a bit more research on PNI after Jacklyn bugged me for some input on PNI.

From Wikipedia, the history of PNI originates from a guy called Robert Ader.

In 1974 Robert Ader discovered that the immune system of rats can be conditioned to respond to external stimuli unrelated to immune function. Ader was investigating how long conditioned responses (in the sense of Pavlov‘s conditioning of dogs to drool when they heard a bell ring) might last in laboratory rats. To condition the rats, he used a combination of saccharine-laced water and the drug Cytoxan which induces nausea and suppresses the immune system. Ader was surprised to discover that after conditioning, just feeding the rats saccharine-laced water was sufficient to suppress the immune system of the rats. In other words, a signal via the nervous system (taste) was affecting immune function. This was one of the first scientific experiments that demonstrated that the nervous system can affect the immune system. Ader coined the phrase Psychoneuroimmunology and wrote the two-volume book Psychoneuroimmunology along with David L. Felten and Nicholas Cohen[1].

In 1981 David Felten, then working at the Indiana University of Medicine, discovered a network of nerves leading to blood vessels as well as cells of the immune system. The researchers also found nerves in the thymus and spleen terminating near clusters of lymphocytes, macrophages and mast cells, all of which help control immune function. This discovery provided one of the first indications of how neuro-immune interaction occurs.

In other words, our immune system can be conditioned for illness and probably also for health. The strange thing is that there is very little literature about PNI other than what I have heard and read myself in other literature.

I’m sure there have been times where you started getting worried about something, ruminated about it, then fallen sick. How about times when you were on the go studying for an examination, working through the night until you finished the exams. You took a break, then you fell sick.

The odd thing is that if we can do this to make us sick, we certainly can do it to make us healthier. One way is the conditioning of external sources of information and making it make us feel better.

For instance, drinking water and conditioning this to sensations of motivation and overall pleasant mood. This act in and of itself makes you feel good eventually, and commonly associated with the concept of anchoring in neuro linguistic programming.

One breaking piece of research from Dr. Bruce Lipton also highlights that beliefs also affect our biochemistry. Our biological receptor cells actually get attuned to the exernal  signal or stimulus if we believe that something will affect us.

For example, someone could be fed with soup, but later told that it contained poison. If it were believed, the person could actually start exhibiting symptoms of being poisoned. The role of belief is also being looked into by NLP experts.

Having modeled belief patterns, I’ve found that it’s extremely powerful to have a good set of beliefs that sustain us, especially from a health perspective. If people tell you to “drink more water or you’ll get sick”, it’s a neuro-linguistic command that compels a person to fall sick if they don’t drink water.

The danger, therefore, of using our language effectively is important.

What do you say to yourself? What do you tell people?

Interesting thing is if you tell people something bad out of evil intent, you actually get the negative effects yourself. People falling ill frequently are often a result of over stress, but also a result of negative thinking, which weakens the immune system and allows viruses to pick the locks that shut out illness.

How to be healthier?

Well I’m not suggesting you just think of being healthy.

I want you to visualize being healthy regularly, but the visualization must be based on a specific process. You might think you have to just visualize and see things happening. But that’s not true. Revisit moments of health and explore how you did that in every single, minute clarity.

If you are not clear on visualizing, I recommend you get a copy of Master Your Mind, Design Your Destiny. Just remember that NLP models processes. PNI is a process, so implementing the process is an NLP approach, not a PNI approach. I’ve probably got more to say, but I’ll have to save it for another post.

Law of Attraction

By Jacklyn | March 22, 2007

Hi, have you subscribe to my mailing list? I have a bonus free ebook for you! It’s about the power of our ‘thought vibration’. Hope you’ll enjoy reading it.

Recently, “The Secret” movie set me thinking about the law of attraction. I was so fascinated by it and I started practising part of what is being taught. One of the thing I started doing every morning now is asking myself “what are the things I’m grateful for in my life NOW?” And guess what? The list is never ending! The more I think of it, the more I feel I’m so much loved, with so much joy and energy to start my cheerful day!

The second one is “Start Thinking Positively!”. It works! And it’s after reading Stuart’s blog on this topic, I really see a much clearer picture how positive thinking will attract positive outcome. Just sitting there thinking positively will not attract anything. It is our thought that leads to our decision to take action, thus achieving our positive outcome!

THOUGHT – DECISION – ACTION

Isn’t it great to know that we will achieve anything in the world we want as long as we start applying this formula in our life? Yes!!!

…Everyday will be a great day when we start our day with great thoughts…

Different Income Sources

By Jacklyn | March 15, 2007

Let us take a look at the different types of income. They are:

1. Earned Income – obtain from working for someone or a company.

2. Passive Income – income generated from business.

3. Portfolio Income – income generated from investments in paper assets.

Earned Income comes from having a job in a company or in someone else’s business. You get paid for your time and services rendered. And in most of the cases, workers work just hard enough not to get fired and employers pay just enough for workers not to quit.

This indicates that the income an employee can generate from working for an employer is limited. There is the possibility that an employee may devote extra effort thinking the employer will pay him/her more. It is a rare possibility particularly when business is difficult, but possible.

And even if it happens, it is still limited. Whatever additional profit gained by the employer as a result of the employee’s extra effort, the emoployer will get the bigger “slice of the pie”. You are, in fact, making someone else rich through your added effort. Don’t think I’m discouraging this. It is a good act. I’m just stating a fact. It’s likely that you will be telling yourself mentally: “Hey, that’s not fair.” Fair or not, that’s the way life is, when you work for money.

Earned Income is a safe way to generate an income. There is not much thinking to do. Except for a few high paying, high profile jobs, your work is mostly concentrated on a few things where you keep repeating the same functions. Unconsciously, this discourages creativity, so boredom starts to set in.

It is because of this boredom that getting to work every morning is such a drag and you keep on looking forward to weekends, holidays and vacations.

Unless you really love what you do without consideration to the income it generates, or unless you are highly paid, or unless there is a lot more to learn in your job or unless financial security is of no importance to you, there is no reason for you to stay long in the “rat race”.

The earlier it is to get out of the trap, the better chances you will attain financial success.

Passive Income or Residual Income is generated from businesses. You can sell products, offer services, or a combination thereof. Examples are buying/selling real estate, trading merchandise as in wholesaling and retailing, franchising, network marketing, internet marketing, etc… In many cases, you need not be physically present in your place of business. The list is endless as long as you do what you love to do.

The beauty of going into your own business is that you work for yourself, not for someone else. You enrich your own life, not someone else. Your time is disciplined but more flexible because you can make your own schedule.

Portfolio Income, just like passive income, is making money work for you. Portfolio Income is generated from paper assets because literally, they are businesses that revolve on papers.

It is in Portfolio Income where financial knowledge is of vital importance. Your financial intelligence will either unmake or make you rich.

Secrets of Self-Made MillionaireListening to Adam Khoo’s audio program on Secret of Self-Made Millionaire changed my mindset on wealth and wealth creation. I would encourage anyone to read or listen to this program if he/she wants to achieve financial success!
