Life is a Journey of Continuous Learning
By Jacklyn | June 27, 2007
I truly believe in personal development. I thank God for my life that He has let me experience my life in a very special way. (Read my profile here). Having gone through the struggles between the edge of life and death really strengthened me and gave me a clear vivid picture of my life purpose now.
Today, my life mission is to bring the gift of health and knowledge to mankind. Life is meaningless without good health, don’t you agree? For those who have gone through or are facing major adversities in your life right now (be it health issues, business or relationships) I would say that you are chosen to live an inspiring story for the rest of the world if you are determined to fight on… How? Through self development, self motivation and finding your purpose in life!
I stress the importance of seeking knowledge. Without knowledge, we won’t know how to move on in the right direction. With knowledge comes wisdom, and wisdom will exercise our power to choose the correct path in our life, making the correct decision and taking the correct actions to reach the Outcome we desire.
Learning is an ongoing process. As the Chinese saying “learn till we are old”. I learn through life experiences, from the people around me, from training programs, books, audio programs, videos and some great websites from the Internet.
Here are just some great resources I’m using personally. I’m sure it will change your life if you start applying what you learn from it!

How I Raise My Vibes
By Jacklyn | June 16, 2007
I have been tagged to participante in this wonderful meme by Alan Torres and from Made To Be Great and Terry Starbucker from Ramblings From a Glass Half Full. It’s about writing 5 things I do to raise my vibrations. It all started at Optimistlab. Thanks to Alan for tagging me as I believe raising our vibrations not only keep ourselves in an empowering state, but it also influences all the people around us.
5 things I do to raise my vibrations:
1. Gratitude
I start my day with the attitude of Gratitude. Since after I survived my heart attack 5 years ago, I thank God every morning the very moment I open my eyes to a brand new day. I’ll spend 5 minutes in prayer thanking Him for the life He has given me, then, I’ll continue to immerse in the feeling of gratitude till I’m ready to work. What I thank and enjoy most is the morning shower bath as I’ve experienced going through a stage where I could not bathe under a shower due to operations with tubes all over my body for up to a period of one year! Feeling thankful sets my whole day’s frequency right. It calms my emotions, mind and body, and makes me feel positive, confident and cheerful to welcome the day.
2. Visualizations
Since young, I like to day-dream, and quite often, landing in beautiful wonderlands. Today, I understand how the power of visualization can affect our life. So now, I visualize all the successes that I will have in my life, even including my daily appointments, presentations and seeing’ all the celebrations! I like to do this while walking my dog (whether morning or evening), or going to some places of nature. I enjoy going to the seaside, reservoir or gardens. It makes me feel peaceful, calm and yet confident and powerful.
3. My Anchors
Practicing NLP gives me the power to have control over my emotional states. I’ve learned how to plant’ numerous positive anchors around me in my home, car, office and even my mom’s house! I associate deeply with inspirational and motivational pictures, photos, books, videos, audios and music. Even places like my home office table, office, training centre and AKLTG (Adam Khoo Learning Technologies Group) have become my positive anchors for personal growth and empowerment. On top of that, I use powerful affirmations that constantly engage myself in positive emotional state. Awesome!
4. Time with my dog
This is my private time with my baby’ Yashi. He is already 9 yrs old. The companionship and joy Yashi gives me over the years are beyond words. He is always so eager to make me happy by wagging his tail fervently and jumping, jumping, jumping around me. It is impossible to feel lousy with him around!
5. Friends
I believe the people we mix around with strongly affect and influence us. I choose to mix around with positive, successful and high energy friends. It doesn’t mean I look down on people who are not financially successful yet, but it’s their positive mindset and attitude that make me term them as successful. Being with friends make me feel happy, confident and resourceful thus emanating more positive vibes around!
Well, that’s my 5 little tricks to raise my vibrations. What’s yours? I’m tagging 5 friends along with this post and I want to encourage more friends to share your little tricks with us by participating in this meme and we’ll create powerful positive vibes in this bloggersphere! Teamwork – Lessons From Geese
By Jacklyn | June 8, 2007
To show the importance of teamwork, we can take examples from the lives of geese.Fact: As each goose flaps its wings, it creates an uplift for the birds that follow. By flying in a “V” formation, the whole flock gains 71% greater flying range than if each bird flew alone.
Lesson: People who share a common direction and sense of community can get where they are going quicker and easier because they are traveling on the thrust of one another.
Fact: When a goose falls out of formation, it suddenly feels the drag and resistance of flying alone. It quickly moves back into formation to take advantage of the lifting power of the bird immediately in front of it.
Lesson: If we have as much sense as a goose we stay in formation with those headed where we want to go. We are willing to accept their help and give our help to others.
Fact: When the lead goose tires, it rotates back into the formation and another goose flies to the point position.
Lesson: It pays to take turns doing the hard tasks and sharing leadership. As with geese, people are interdependent on each other’s skill, capabilities, and unique arrangements of gifts, talents, and resources.
Fact: The geese flying in formation honk to encourage those up in front to keep up their speed.
Lesson: We need to make sure that our honking is encouraging. In groups where there is encouragement, the production is much greater. The power of encouragement (to stand by one’s core values, and to encourage the core values of others) is the quality of honking we seek.
Fact: When a goose gets sick, wounded or shot, two geese drop out of formation and follow it down to help and protect it. They stay with it until it dies or is able to fly again. Then, they launch out with another formation or catch up with the flock.
Lesson: If we have as much sense as geese, we will stand by each other in difficult times as well as when we are strong.
